How to display lyrics within music app on iOS 10.2.1

Dear all,

I wish to display the lyrics to my music library using the music app and cannot figure out how to do it. Maybe I am googling it wrong.

I do not have an Apple Music subscription and do not intend to change this for the next 50 years or so.

Currently I am running iOS 10.2.1 (final).

I have read that at one point when iOS 10 was still in beta it was indeed possibile to display lyrics for music contained in the personal music library. I can imagine why they changed that but anyway, is there a way to display lyrics of my own music using the music app?

If not so is there any other way to accomplish that?

I manually add lyrics while editing metadata of a song. Works great but not perfect.

Marvis displays lyrics without many issues, assuming you have your lyrics properly added and saved.

Oh, I am also not Apple Music subscriber.

Thank you, this is a great way of managing songs and I really admire your dedication to your music library

I guess I am way too lazy for that though ...

I gave Musixmatch a try. It is working fine for most songs, but will not display the lyrics of others. Since it seems to be my only option right now I will stick to it.

I would prefer though if lyrics of songs outside of Apple Music could be displayed directly within the iOS music app without having to rely on a 3rd party app.

With apple pushing Apple Music and with me not willing to subscribe anytime soon this probably won't happen.

This is macOS only, right?

I almost do not use my Mac mini anymore since I got my iPad and have never used iTunes to manage my music library, not even on macOS because I hate it and I do not trust it with my music

Instead, I prefer copytrans manager (http://www.copytrans.net/download/) to copy my music to my iOS devices

Yes, it's macOS and integrates with iTunes.
