Hi everyone,

I'm thinking about going backward to Panther from Tiger. I have OS 10.4.2 and am not completely happy with it. Has anyone ever done this? Any suggestions? Not really sure yet and I'm looking for imput.

Arh, ya see here, you put the Panth-arrr disk into the CD drive. Then, choose arrrr-chive and install. It'll make a little folder with all your saved junk from 10.4 Tig-arrrr. It'll be all good aft-arrrrr that! Avast!

..don't look at me like that, it's talk like a pirate day! :)

(Umm.. GIS for vicious tiger..)

Yeah, are you just waiting for a really stable update or what? I loves me the Tiger. It's awesome.
Are you trying to run it on an especially old machine, so it's really slow?

That is awesome Katie, nice job. ;)

Don't know what kind of setup that you have? It could also be a matter of not enough RAM. Mac OS X 10.4.3 is do out very soon, at least wait till then if you are having other problems.

What complaints do you have?

I want one of those!

Back to topic: I can't see any reason to step back from Tiger (other than some questions of support according to a customer about the Nikon D50 in Tiger).

More info to downgrade responses

Hi all,

I love the tigerbunny! Thanks much!

I'm running 10.4.2 on a 500 mhz G3 ibook, with 576 mb ram. I've had problems staying connected to my DSL and the computer recognizing my HP Scanjet. I've tried all the forum suggestions to fix the DSL problem and have tried all of HP support's troubleshooting, too - to no avail. I didn't have either problem before I upgraded to Tiger.
