How to downgrade iPhone 3G bootloader?

Hi I wanted to downgrade my baseband from 2.30 to 2.28 so I could unlock my phone, but my bootloader is 6.02 or sumtin (the baseband downgrader will not work on anything 5.9+) and I wanted to know if there is a way to put my bootloader back to 5.8 so I can go back to 2.28 I bought my phone just yesturday and have already jailbroken it so yeah need some help here if anyone knows how to do this.
