How to download music from ipod(windows) to mac

I have an ipod nano( old generation 4 gb ) windows formatted and i want to transfer my songs to my library in itunes on my imac. Is this possible?

Every time i try to drag a song to the library it wont let me. But i can add songs that i have download to my mac to the nano.

iPods are designed to not allow you to take songs off them. Record label thing, didn't want them to become mass piracy devices (was a prerequisite for them to get the iTunes Store started, I think).

I have the same question (sort of)

To get my music ransfered from my iTunes on my PC laptop to my new mac can i just do the whole folder sharing thing and transfer the music folder over to the mac using a network.
