how to download my icloud/info onto someone else's ipad?

So my spouse and I both have ipad mini's with icloud service (basic). However, my screen broke and we tried to fix it, but in the meantime my husband is giving me his ipad mini to use.
Can I "switch" accounts on his ipad to mine so that I can access my apps, email, etc.? I am able to log off his account and log onto mine under itunes, but its not really putting my settings on the ipad. Everywhere else it still says its only His account. There is no other place to add/change accounts except under itunes. I'm not sure what to do....

Go to the Settings app and click on the iCloud account. Scroll to the bottom and you'll see an option to delete the account. Once you are back to the login prompt enter your info and you should be all set.

so I have to "delete" his account? will that wipe out his settings entirely? I was hoping to preserve them since my use of his ipad is temporary. Much like you log on to a computer as "UserA" but you could later log on as "UserB".

It will. But once you're done he can just go back in and delete your account from the device and add his back. User accounts on an iPad would be nice....no clue why they haven't been added already.

This only changes the iCloud account, it will not affect other settings on the iPad.

There are many places to switch accounts. However, changing the accounts won't affect other settings on installed apps. And if your email is other than iCloud based, you would need to set that up manually.

You would need to install whatever apps you needed, but don't expect access to the data that has been backed up.

To really change it to look like yours, you would need to restore from your backup. Not a good idea for temporary use.
