Hi,

I want to download emails from my Microsoft Outlook Office365 web email account onto an archive or folder on my mac.

I currently have Airmail 3 and can view some of the emails.

I would like to download all the emails in one folder on my backup drive.

Is this possible with Airmail 3? Or will i need to buy outlook?

You should be able to sync your Office 365 account with the native Apple Mail application and then set the download period to "forever." I'm not sure if there is a way to export from the native Apple Mail app or Airmail though. Once the mail is cached to the native Apple Mail application, it's not going to go anywhere even if the Office 365 account is deleted from the Microsoft servers (assuming you're caching and not in some form of "Online" mode).

With Outlook you'd be able to copy the .pst data file with all of your cached email and move it to a drive, but you'd still need Outlook to open it again.

If Airmail (or any alternative third party email client for that matter) caches email, it has to store in on your Mac somewhere. May just take a little digging in the help docs of your chosen client. You may be able to find a client that is very close to Outlook in functionality and then copy the data file after it's done downloading.
