iPhone how to download songs directly to music library?

I was wondering if there was a way to download songs directly into my music library. I remember back on iOS 5.1.1 (jailbroken) there was a way.

Take a look at an app called Bridge. Its relatively new and allows you to import music and videos into your ipod/music app

Okay I downloaded Bridge, however how do you actually download the music to your iphone? do you use safari download manager? and download it off a site? then import it?

You get it off YouTube. Use Protube 2. There's a M4A download option. Once it's downloaded there's an import option that'll take you straight to Bridge.

I just have another question. At what bit-rate is it ripping it off youtube? (128kbps 192kbps 256kbps?)

is there a way to find out?

I wouldn't trust any app to play with the iTunes library. It is still imperfectly understood, and completely undocumented. I've had experience (albeit several years ago) with third party apps corrupting the database irreparably.

just found out the protube app ripped it off youtube at a 95kbps bit-rate, which sucks. Is there another app that will rip it a higher quality? at least 192kbps, preferably 256kbps.

You're recompressing the audio stream from a YouTube video. You're going to be limited in the quality of the result anyway. I highly doubt YouTube is encoding the audio at 256Kbps to begin with. All you're going to get by ripping it at that rate is more faithful reproduction of the compression artifacts.

If you want higher quality music, I would like humbly to suggest that you pay for it.

when a person uploads videos in HD (720, 1080) youtube encodes the audio quality at 256kbps. I've downloaded multiple times off youtube using clipconverter.cc and video2mp3.net, both of them work flawlessly, and it's actually 256kbs, not a lower quality bit-rate ripped so that it looks like higher quality. I was just wondering if there's a way to do this on my phone.

Just throwing this out there because I just learned this about 15 minutes ago. iFile allows you to import music into your iPod library using the brand new Gremlin Framework. This just came out a couple days ago so I assume this is a new feature of iFile.

Not only that, but according to the Cydia description for Gremlin Framework, not only will it import music into your iPod library, it will even sync back to your desktop iTunes. This framework also works for photos, videos, ringtones, contacts and all file types supported by your installed apps.

Mewseek. Also imports music into your ipod app. But, no editing of metadata like you can with Bridge.

I listen to it first, if it's good then I buy the physical CD.

For real and every body gets bent out of shape about pirated app. Lol

More apps should have free "lite" versions so you can test out if its worth spending the money
