How do I make a duplicate iMovie? I see no option for that and the YouTube videos that show a workaround don’t work for me. Any ideas?

I have a slideshow with music that I want to share on YouTube but it was blocked due to copyright which I would imagine is the music background. I need to copy the iMovie and then remove the music from the copy and re-upload to YouTube.

Please help

When you go to iMovie Projects and select your original, you should see a More option (3 dots in a circle) with a Duplicate Project option that looks like below. Does that work for you?

Select your project in iMovie, then tab on the share button at the bottom of the screen.
Tab on the small "Options" and choose "Project".
After that, save it, go back to the starting page in iMovie.
Tab the icon in the top left corner, select "Import Project" and choose your previously saved file.

I have to work within the iPhone or iPad operating systems as I don’t have a Mac but a PC for my laptop. Any options like that from the iPad? I’m not seeing a duplicate option.

Oh, I have a bad habit of forgetting to check the forum category, so sorry about giving Mac directions. On the iPad, use the Share menu to save to Files with a different name, and then open that version to edit without the bg sound.
