This is a followup to my previous thread. I transferred some photos from my iPhone 4 to my iPad Air 2 but on some of them the date is incorrect and I would like to correct it. I can't find a place to do it either on the iPad itself or on icloud.com. Is there a way to edit the dates of photos that have been previously been taken?

First I deleted the files that were mistagged on my iPad, then I copied the original picture files from my iPhone 4 to my computer. Then I go right click->Properties->Details->Date Taken and you can manually edit the date. Then upload the files to icloud.com and they will be tagged with the correct date. However, the location data that was on the photos will not be uploaded to icloud.com.

But as far as editing the dates of files that you only have on an iOS device or icloud.com, I don't think there is a way to do so. The workaround is to download them to a computer, manually edit them and reupload them.
