After I had to disable Gatekeeper to finally get the Upgrade to Monterey working, now with Monterey, I want to enable Gatekeeper again.

I assume its just the same command in terminal, but with "enable" instead of "disable".

sudo spctl --master enable

However, this gives me all sorts of feedback on the terminal, as if that command would not work.

How can I enable it again on Monterey ?

Thanks in advance.

Wolf ;)

Thanks, got it. ;)

but it still gives me all that in Terminal after the command.

Code:

spctl --add [--type type] [--path|--requirement|--anchor|--hash] spec ... # add rule(s)
       spctl [--enable|--disable|--remove] [--type type] [--path|--requirement|--anchor|--hash|--rule] spec # change rule(s)
       spctl --status | --global-enable | --global-disable # system global switch

Developer Mode Usage:
    spctl developer-mode <action>
        enable-terminal
Add Terminal as a developer tool.
Kernel Extension User Consent Usage:
spctl kext-consent <action> ** Modifications only available in Recovery OS **
        status
Print whether kernel extension user consent is enabled or disabled.
        enable
Enable requiring user consent for kernel extensions.
        disable
Disable requiring user consent for kernel extensions.
        add <team-id>
Insert a new Team Identifier into the list allowed to load kernel extensions without user consent.
        list
Print the list of Team Identifiers allowed to load without user consent.
        remove <team-id>
Remove a Team Identifier from the list allowed to load kernel extensions without user consent.

Yes, it did change to enabled now.

And no, it didn't do it before with the it seems old syntax of that command. ;)

Yeah it's weird since it's happening to some people but not all. I asked many with MBP 2021 too and some with Monterey and some say the master enable/disable is working. And some got errors like this. Which is weird tbh

I had the same problem then found that if I typed the command in from the keyboard, it worked. I first copied and pasted from the web gave me the same gobbledygook you got. I've had this issue before.
