How to enter MS Outlook 2way verification in Apple Mail

I can't seem to figure out and/or find how to enter a MS Outlook 2-way verification password in my Apple Mail application for the specified MS Outlook account. Help appreciated!

If you're talking about an email account with Hotmail or Outlook.com you'd sign in at https://account.live.com/proofs/Manage and, under "App Passwords", click "Create a new app password" and use that for the account password in Apple Mail.

Thanks! WOW, after trying this for the x-st time, I finally figured out my own user error. I was still auto-connected to a different MS-account in my browser from which I created the app specific password.
