iPhone How to erase personal data on JB Iphone?

hi guys
I may be selling off my JB phone to my friend. Since I cant restore the phone and re-jailbreak what else can I do to easily wipe the phone to "factory" while retaining the JB

Those ssh I saved on tinyumbrella that stuff isnt gonna help me wipe the phone or is it? That is what I used to do but I remember someone saying something different.

I can unlink my itunes account, delete all the apps, but stuff like photos etc, I can prob delete too but without actually doing it I cant be sure what else would be left. Anyone been through this?

You probably figured it out, but you can do ilex RAT from the phone itself. It saved my butt when I sold my iphone because it wouldnt restore through itunes or the phone itself.

I dont know what I am doing wrong but I tried the Ilex rat and it doesnt work LOL sooo weird haha it does nothing... it runs for a sec then it was as if I did nothing haha... I'll try the other one but seems a bit trickier to use..

Should work, semi-restore works fine, try it

yeah I tried looking for semi restore weird thing is none of the download links work... i have not googled this forum yet to see what the issue is.. but the only version i managed to get is the ssh version and there are no clear instructions... the mac version and even the windows is not available SIGH
 
Hi guys I managed to get rat to work after a few tries. No idea why it wouldn't work initially. Thanks !!

Semi-restore is nonsense links don't work
 
iLEX RAT is the best solution. install that with mobileterminal then go into terminal, type rat, then type 12 and hit enter. confirm and your good to go. Depending on how much crap you have, you may have to wait a bit. but it will confirm the restore was successful and will even uninstall itself.

Cydia will be left over but sometimes you get some issues. I suggest re-jailbreaking with evasi0n when all said and done.

The evad3rs don't recomment rejailbreaking, do that only as a last resort!

I believe it was dhlizard (I hope I'm not wrong) the other day that said the Mac version would cause problems for some people and forcing them to restore so then the dev removed the Mac version

Use ilexrat if you only have a Mac
