I have a quite wide home network, a wifi modem router from my landline provider, a cable to a switch and from the latter to an airport base, now I need to extend a little further to reach a location where the signal is not strong enough, I have an old AirPort Express which I am going to try, also a generic extender CF-182 which I am also going to test, I wish I could stick with Apple just for ease of use and built in integration, I regret the old extreme with integrated backup functions but it is what it is, what would you suggest if none of the above solutions works in my environment, is there anything simple and reliable?

Grazie

I hesitate to offer any specific suggestions not knowing the home layout and the materials of construction.

Also, what is the model of your current modem/router?

Second Unifi equipment.

They have some nice utility switches that quite cost effective and nice range of AP.
You don’t have to buy all the ProXG range etc, buy the level you need.

They even provide decent tools for planning out. If have a LiDAR equipped phone can even create a map of the house. Uploading can be challenge but helps get the AP placement done.

Lots of YouTube about it.

Am in the new year planning on doing home out with Unifi products including the VoIP to replace home phone with PSTN switch off so have simple single pane for network and phone, also looking at getting parents home to the kit as well so can extend my network to their place when need to do the IT support for them.

Who do you have for Cell phone service? I just finally figured out everything needed to get Wi-Fi calling working through T-Mobile it's been a royal pain.
