I like to keep my iOS screens arranged with frequently used apps in the first screen or two. Everything else I access via search.
All my available screens are filled with apps, so searching for one is tedious. I also have folders I put apps in, so sometimes it takes awhile to find an app so I can move it to one of the first few screens. Some apps I can spot super easily, but others evade me, even after swiping thru numerous times.

Is there a way to quickly figure out which screen a given app is on?
(I miss the old days when we could re-arrange our screens using iTunes on the desktop. I found that far easier!!)

I believe you can still do this with the App Configurator app and 3rd party apps like iMazing.

The ones that evade you are probably hidden. When you fill up all of your screens with other apps you can't see their app icon and can only find the app through a search.

Yeah, that's why I've been putting them in folders. But that makes them even more difficult to find!

im not a fan of using folders.
so here is what i do.

in dock: Safari, Phone, Mail, Messages
home screen: apple apps that i use daily.
2nd screen: non-apple apps that i use daily including VPN, banking, health related, news.
3rd screen: emergency apps (literally apps that give emergency related info) actually i quite a few of them.
4th screen: transportation apps including airlines, train, etc.
5th screen: store apps, commercial sites.
6th screen: the rest

i pair it down to six screens and delete apps that i don't use anymore.
