i'm thinking of buying another LCD, and have bought LG W2453V, however, the quaility of it is not good as my iMac (when both in win7 and in Mac), so i plan to return it, but still wonder what kinda LCD panel iMac uses, i may just go get the same one.

does anyone know how to find out this info?

many thanks:confused:

ifixit.com teardown says its made by LG.

r u sure?? what specs on imac lcd panel? if it's LG, then why my new LG LCD has worse image compared with iMac
specially play videos............ peopel's face look so pale than on iMac....

ps: my new LG W2453 is not defective, in fact, i bought 2 of same model attached to my PC running win7

LCD manufacturers produce many different types of panels, they don't use the same panel for everything, they even use different panels for the same size tv/monitors. Then there is the processing behind the panel and then sometimes they have different coatings.

have you tried adjusting brightness/contrast/picture etc?

yes, i spent some time to adjust all different settings, but quality of video and image, still not good as iMac

so where can I find specs on my iMac LCD?
anyone knows?
