Hi,

Is there anyway to find out the true BootROM version while running an OpenCore enabled OS?

OpenCore spooks the version in System Report to all 9's so as not to trigger an ROM update

Cheers
Dave

The Dumper reads that directly from the flash chip.

Ok, and it's ok to run the dumper under OC? I forgot about that feature in the dumper

sure,

to flash the firmware I'd choose a supported OS, when available.
To minimize side effects, or some unexpected behaviour during flashing.

But people read and flash their firmwares with the Dumper, with and without an OC driven OS.

I can see that by the logs, the people send.

Thanks a lot, just checking to be on the safe side, I'd always boot to a native OS to actually flash
