How to fix "Error Code 0" - not related to disk format...

Hi all,

I am trying to "Merge" a folder from one external disk to another. Both disks are formatted as Mac OS Extended (Journaled). When I choose the "Merge" option, I get an error message ("Error Code 0").

I have read elsewhere that this is often caused by the size limitation on FAT-formatted drives. This is not the case for me...

Any other known causes for "Error Code 0"?
