My iOS devices connect and reconnect when connecting to my Mac. But it happens intermittently (around 5 times a week). Is there any way to fix it permanently?

What I have noticed:
  • It only happens with devices that have a larger battery. It does not affect older devices that have smaller batteries.
  • Using the terminal command "sudo killall -STOP -c usbd" fixes it instantly and then it will connect properly. But it’s annoying to have to enter this all the time.
  • Sometimes unplugging the device and replugging it fixes it, but not always. Sometimes it will be fixed if I plug it in a different port, but not always.
  • If the devices are more than 70% charged, it doesn’t happen.

Steps I have tried:

  • Purchased a brand-new official lightning cable.
  • Took my Mac to the Apple store. It actually had some repairs done a while back. Apple tested everything multiple times and said they can’t find anything. It never happens when I bring it to the store. So I can’t show it to them. I've shown them a video, but they say they've tested everything and can't find any issue.
  • I’ve tried resetting SMC and NVRAM.
  • I’ve tried resetting location and privacy on the iOS device.
  • I’ve ensured my Macbook Pro is up-to-date.

My Mac is a Mid-2015 Mac running 12.6.3 (I can’t update past this, due to the age of the system).

It may be that the devices are drawing too much power from the USB port? Loose USB port?
By loose USB port, do you mean the port on the Mac? If so, is there anyway I can check if the port is loose? It seems okay by looking at it. Thanks for your help!
