Hello I’m running macOS 10.13.6 (High Sierra) with iTunes 12.8.2.3 and I was wondering with movies such as “I Love You Phillip Morris“ the talking in the movie is quite compared to the music / sound effects and I’ve needed To turn the sound up and down to adjust fo the sudden changes in level.

I have this issue with the computer speakers and with a dual HomePod set up.

I was wondering if there was a way to fix this issue so I do not need to adjust the sound levels all the time.

Thank you for your time,
Shizumi.

It's how the movie is mixed, not iTunes' fault or Mac. The one who mixed the movie did not bother to make adjustments to make it sound great for those who watch it at home.

not sure why you're asking this on the big sur forum...

i don't use itunes for movies, but is there an option to change the audio settings? ie from 5.1 or dolby 5.1, to stereo (for example)? if so, try different settings, see if one works better for you.

Sorry not to sure why it went into big sur since I just clicked on macOS guess I did not realise. Is there away to move the post?

As for audio settings. I tried to find some but I could not really see anything. There are some option for music but that’s about it.
