Hello everyone, I am so sorry if this topic has already been addressed and if it has been addressed then I am hopping that someone can direct me to the correct thread.

Here is the situation: I got my hands on an EVGA NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTX and I want to try and flash the card so that it will work in both OS X and in Winders. So I guess I first need to know if it is even possible to flash the EVGA NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTX to work in a first generation Mac Pro 1,1 under OS X, and then if it is possible to flash the car to work then where can I find the information on how to do the task?

In advances, thanks for your help

really, don't bother

1. most 8800 cards have too small rom chip and you need to solder a bigger one onto it

2. it's a pain in the butt to make 8800 rom

3. the card sucks, it's like 5 years old

if you dont care, just search this forum, there are topics about the procedure. (cba searching for you...)

get a 6870, its like 2x the performance and half the noise and heat... (plus it's basically plug and play)
