How to force AirPlay as default speaker?

Hi,
My MacBook Pro is connected to Sonos Speakers via AirPlay. Unfortunately, every time when my Mac goes to sleep and wakes up again, it changes the internal speaker as default speaker. Is there a way to force my Mac to always use AirPlay speakers as default speaker?
Furthermore, is it possible to use AirPlay speakers to play sound effects (e.g emptying trash or receiving emails)? I can't change anything in the settings.

From that article using AppleTV on my MacBook Pro to keep the AirPlay connection active works best for me. I can put my computer to sleep and when I bring it back up my AirPlay connection is still there in stereo for all computer sounds (e.g. netflix, disney+)
