Hi,

I'd like to know if there's a way to force mail syncing or mailbox updating, where the full content of the messages is redownloaded regardless of what's in the cache.

I have my mail on an Exchange server and it seems the iPhone/iPod only checks for new or deleted mail, nothing else. Annoyingly it doesn't update if the content of a message has changed. When does that happen, will you ask? Well, for instance, for Drafts. Personally I have several drafts, which I use as memos and that I regularly edit and save. The modifications are reflected in Outlook and the Mail clients on PC/Mac but not in the iPhone mail app.

So is there any method to do this like clear the mail cache? My iDevice is jailbroken so Cydia apps or system tweaks are possible.

No, I'm unable to edit the messages in the iPhone's "Drafts" mailbox.

It's not only the drafts actually. I also have a couple of mails that were edited (in Outlook) in my Inbox and those edits do not appear in the iPhone.

I want to know this too...

I need to force ios mail app to redownload all emails from my google account.

Is there any way to do this?

Restart after removing it. The emails should not still be there. Once the account is removed, all the cached emails for that account are deleted.
