I have an iPhone that's come from 1.0.2 every step of the way, and it's activated (originally using iNdependence). I do not have an iPhone plan. What will I need to do in iTunes to upgrade to 1.1.3?

It is jailbroken. It is NOT unlocked. I have my old AT&T SIM in it on my old plan - what will I need to do to ensure 1.1.3 works properly?

you CANNOT update yet!

Either the devteam or the guy that made independence have to find a way to jailbreak the 1.1.3 update so they can hacktivate it (as you put it).

If they can't jailbreak then it cannot be activated unless it is officially done through iTunes.

And apparently downgrading to 1.1.2 or lower is extremely difficult and causes incorrect SIM messages so DO NOT update it until someway is found to jailbreak it!

Interesting, I never had to jailbreak my iPhone to activate it. In fact, for awhile I was unable to jailbreak at all even though I was activated. Hrm.
