Just call AppleCare. Give them the serial number to the Apple Pencil.. Tell them you need a DIY replacement on the adapter. They will set up a repair on the Pencil, and you pay the replacement parts. 4.95 each ( asked for 2) plus the service shipping fee. 19 bucks for 2.

Got my replacements in today. 2 brand new female to female adapters.
