I know how Categories is very dangerous and all, i just forgot.

I had apps in categories. I made a backup. I restored to 2.2. I upgraded to 2.2.1. I Jailbroke. W/o adding Categories and adding those folders, I restored from back-up, and synced. Now all of my apps are in those 2 folders, that I don't have.

How do I get it back w/o restoring?

Try downloading "poof" or categories again and unhide them

SBSettings should be able to "unhide" the app let me test it out for you

***EASIEST WORK AROUND***

simply have SBSettings unhide the apps it will make it show up on your springboard i just tested this and it works

just checked my Apps folder and the app that i unhid still exists in taht folder so you will have to go into catagories and delete it from that folder to get rid of the double

The Restrictions method in the other thread worked. Thanks guys. Hopefully, the next person that does this, will search, and find this, and yeah.
