i downloaded Steam, but i cant figure out how to get CS on it. i have HL2 with the serial, which is what i used to play CS on my PC before i got the macbook. i cant install it to OSX from the HL2 discs, and i cant download CS without having to pay for it. what am i missing?

why? doesnt it run natively under osx? whats the point of having steam of mac then

ok, i just assumed that all games available on steam will run on osx natively.

next question...

how will it run on virtualized windows? i dont use bootcamp, but rather Sun's Virtual Box

Use the code!

Can't you register the game on Steam and make it part of your library?

Yeah, this is what I did with Episode 1. Simply take the code from the back of the case and in 'activate a game on steam' under the games tab you type it in. Voila! HL2 on mac!
If you want to play counter strike on a mac, you're out of luck though. However, if you are referring to counter strike source, you can play it natively on a mac.

Yep, if you own CS through Steam on Windows, you own it on Mac. All you have to do is download Steam, login to your existing account and download it.

Now honestly, I'm not sure that the original CS is supported on Mac. I know CS:Source is, but I'm not sure about the original.
