How to get different wallpaper on lockscreen?

Hi,

I just took the plunge and decided to jailbrake my iPhone 3G...can anyone tell me how to get a different wallpaper on my lockscreen than what's on my homescreen/springboard? Is there something available in Cydia that I can download to achieve this? Also, how can I change the wallpaper that is given when you download a theme? (I downloaded I L L U M I N E and although I really like the wallpaper that comes with the theme, I'm thinking about switching it up a bit). Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!

To use a different wallpaper with your theme, go into Winterboard and make sure "User Wallpaper" is clicked and on top of your theme name.

I have "User Wallpaper" checked in Winterboard, however I'm not sure what you mean by having it 'on top of my theme'...I tried to restart my phone but still wasn't able to change the theme wallpaper

When in the Winterboard look to the extreme right and you'll see those boxes with three slashes or files stacked; press that button and drag the User Wallpaper to the top and release.....

It's the same procedure when you want to move anything around in the Weather App or the Stocks App....

Thanks! I assume that if I want to change back to the theme wallpaper I can do so by unchecking "User Wallpaper" in Winterboard am I correct?

I've been using sciphone.net for all my wallpapers, just add them to your iPhone; then you can select them from your photo gallery and use anyone of them as you please....

^^^ That's another way to do it, but I'm trying to keep it simple. Just select the wallpaper you want to use and your lockscreen will automatically utilize your selected wallpaper as your lockscreen, until you change it.....

Instead of the popular suggested Cyberduck. I prefer Diskaid. Diskaid does not require a wifi connection. It goes through USB...Google it, I'm too lazy to find it.

The information you are looking for to change the wallpaper is in the 'theme' folder. You can find the theme folder by first selecting the 'root' folder found in the bottom left corner on diskaid.

Download it. Hook your phone up to your computer like you would if you were going to sync (but don't) and then report back with questions.

It's hard for me to explain.

Look in the bottom left corner, select 'root folder' then follow the path I have highlighted.
Pick the theme you are currently using. Find the wallpaper.png. Save it to the desktop as a backup. Delete it. Drop and drag new background in the same place, replacing it. THIS IS IMPORTANT> Name it the same exact thing as the one you just deleted.

Respring, and enjoy.

It took me ALL week to figure it out. Just be careful you don't delete something important. Like the warning says when you enter the root folder--changing settings could lead to an inoperable device. As long as you stay in the theme part you should be okay.

If I wanted to change that to something different..I would simply choose to save a copy to my Mac. Then delete the file from diskaid.

Then locate the wallpaper that you want and replace Wallpaper.jpg with that file. Rename the file you just replaced "Wallpaper.jpg". (Without the "")

Respring device, all done!
