This is useful for the non US iPhone users and it's simple:

1. Go to iTunes and log off (click on your name then log off)
2. Go to iTunes USA (choose USA in the bottom of the page)
3. Go to Apps
4. Buy any free Apps
5. A pop up will open, Click "Create new Account"
6. When payment method id required, click "none" (this is new !)
7. You are ready to download the free apps !

I tried this and it doesn't work. You choose none, fill out your details and get the UK store only. If you change it to the US store, you don't have a none option.

I can't find the none option
Never mind, i found it

I have a question, if i buy an itunes card in canada but i have a u.s account, will i still be able to redeem it?

really? It worked fine for me, have u registered a dummy address in the US (eg: 1 Infinity Loop, Cupertino 95014 CA) ?

great now if everything wasnt in dollars and i could search for stuff in the uk :/

would be useful if someone could create say 'macrumous@xxx.com'

that was signed up to the us store with fake info for anyone to log in and just download the free apps.

ok, working now.

I restarted the computer and instead of the bt icon i got before as a payment method, i have none now! wooo!

Is there much point in downloading US only apps when they are limited to US only services. For example, eBay app can only search US auctions, YP app only provides services for the US.

i did it and it worked just fine my name is justin timberlake and i live in 90210 beverly hills LOL

i use the US account more then my german one bc i love the tv shows and the bad dollar is good for me ^^
