Hi,
I've got my 13" Macbook Pro connected to a 37" 1080p LED television using a mini-displayport to HDMI cable. The MBP is my only HD source until Freeview HD is rolled out here. YouTube HD and BBC iPlayer HD both look great - the MBP has no problems handling it.
Unfortunately there isn't a huge amount available on these sources and my internet connection isn't really up to streaming HD content except during off-peak hours.
So I'd like to have HD content stored on the hard disk. I've looked into iTunes but it seems HD content is only available to those in the US. The SD content appears to use DRM which means I can't view it on my phone.
My question is how can I legally get 720p/1080p HD movies and TV shows, in the UK, preferably without DRM, onto my Macbook Pro?
Thanks
