Apple just unveiled the long awaited iOS 5 at WWDC just a couple of days ago, and what we instantly noticed was that most of the main new features were simply “borrowed” from either other mobile OSs or already available apps(Jailbroken or otherwise). iOS5 could’ve just been called iOS4+Jailbreak and that is what we’re going to be demonstrating today.

The following is a guide on how to get most of the iOS5 features on you iOS4 phone without updating. Keep in mind that all these apps have been out there before iOS 5 was even announced.
Notification Center
To get the notification center on iOS4, you simply need to install the app Notified Pro from Cydia, the package costs $2.99, and in my opinion, is worth every cent. It aggregates all your notifications and placed the in a “Notification Center” which can be accessed by swiping down your finger on the screen or you can pick any gesture to activate it from the slew of them available. It also hides the obtrusive notifications and the notification appears on top of your screen and disappear after a while. You can even install NotificationGrip from cydia to further enhance the experience. A free alternative is Mobilenotifier.

For those of you who don't wish to upgrade to the beta iOS5.

Note: You would be needing a jailbroken device ;)

Yes, I've had all of the iOS 5 features for years :) But, Apple hard-coded features makes it nicer, in my opinion. I trust Apple developers most and its nice because they integrate perfectly with their services.
