How to get iPhone 3G S videos onto your computer?

I know you can send to YouTube or send via email, but if I plug my phone into my Mac, how can I just get the actual video files off? Do they show up in iPhoto? Or somewhere else? Thinking about getting the 3G S and I was wondering how this is done.
