Does anyone know if there is any way to get an iPhone running 2.x versions of the iPhone OS to boot into verbose mode (i.e. so when you restart you see a description of what is occurring, rather then just the Apple logo).

I know you could do this with the 1.x versions of the OS, but Apple changed something so it was tricker with 2.0

But, I am hoping that since 2.x has been out for the better part of a year, that someone has figured out how to enable this useful troubleshooting feature in 2.0

Thanks in advance

PS - I should note my phone is already jailbroken and I am comfortable entering commands in the terminal/SSHing into the phone.
