How to get music off iPhone for free?

I just got my mbp and I'm trying to get music off my iPhone to put on my mbp... Any ideas? I can't use my external drive cause its ntfs and as of today, my pc won't read it.

Turn it upside down and shake it? sorry i couldnt resist, if i remember correctly OS X can read nfts but not write to it. how large is your itunes libary? if it all fit on your iphone you may be able to burn a dvd or two and be done with it.

I'm trying to read between the lines of what you've said here. At face value, regarding getting music of the iPhone... honestly, I think you should chalk it up to not managing your media properly. If its an emergency, you can use Audacity and the "analog hole", but more than that I can't see how its not worth just transferring the music from where you synced in the first place (its only been a little over a month). If you're saying that you somehow locked your music onto an external NTFS formatted PC drive you don't have connected, then you should probably be starting a thread about getting files off an NTFS drive. Hacking into the iPhone probably isn't worthwhile until someone comes out with a well vetted tool for doing so. I've only heard of tools that let you use the iPhone to store files. For whatever reason, no one's tried to delve into this... so I wouldn't waste time looking for it.

I have no clue what a "of" is. (Looks at keuyboard) Ok, those letters are close together, if you meant "pc" or more importantly "windows", I'm not sure why you couldn't just get your Mac "networked" to you're PC, use the PC to mount the external NTFS drive, and copy the media files directly to the Mac over Ethernet/WiFi. That'd be the best bet in my book. But I have an old NTFS formatted SCSI drive I need to mount and copy from. I've got a nice Belkin USB->SCSI adapter too, so I've got little excuse.

By "key proximity approximation" I would guess "of" is "pc".

OS X can read NTFS from the begining I belive and with ntfs-3g you can write it aswell.
