How to get my iPhone to recognize UK SIM?

got an o2 pay as you go sim in my iphone and it's got no signal, it's jail-broken and the firmware is 1.1.1, how can i get it to read my o2 sim so i can use it?

Did the iPhone come with 1.1.1 (old AT&T iPhone), or did it come with 1.1.2 and you downgraded to 1.1.1 (O2 iPhone)?

If the latter, you'll have to install OktoPrep from installer to prepare the phone for jailbreak, upgrade (not restore) to 1.1.2, then run the jailbreak found at http://conceitedsoftware.com/iphone/site/112jb.html and then your O2 SIM should work.

If the former, just use anySIM 1.1 to unlock.
