I have a new 20" Aluminum Display from Apple attached to my 17" PowerBook. Also, I have an Apple keyboard attached to it yet when I close the lid on the PowerBook, it goes to sleep. I have a Mighty Mouse attached to one of the USB ports on the keyboard.

Is there a simple solution? A known good hack to keep the PB awake when the lid is closed?

Thanks!

I did everything it said to do on Apple's website, but it still goes to sleep when I close the lid.

so, does your powerbook not wake up after you've closed the lid? the instructions on the link you included acknowledge that the powerbook WILL go to sleep when you close the lid and that you need to wake it back up: 6. Once the lid is closed, wake the computer up by either clicking your mouse button or by pressing a key on your keyboard.

as long as your powerbook wakes up again after you've closed the lid, you should be all set. that's the way it's supposed to work, and i'm not aware of any hacks around that...

Thanks!

I knew it was something simple. Didn't know you had to wake it back up. I thought it just wouldn't go to sleep. :D

Thanks again!
