So this is the first time I have jail broken my iPhone and don't want to update /can't update some apps I have got. I like a clean looking phone and clear out badges whenever possible so iTunes badges really annoy me. Is there a way to get rid of them?

That hides them right? I don't want to hide all badges I just want to get rid of app updates I don't want/can't use.

On iOS 8 there're AppInfo as well as ASUpdateHider which do it.

Assuming you're on iOS 9 both tweaks are not updated/working. For the time being the only way is to go to the application folder of the respective app and delete the iTunesmetadata.plist
