This is the million dollar question that's been asked over and over since I guess October 2000 when the first beta of Mac OS X was released to the public (I wish I had kept that DVD-ROM, I remember paying 30 bucks for it), and no one seems to have the answer to, at least not in a way that it works permanently.
You know how all these arrogant computer monitor manufacturers that sell monitors without speakers, but because they put a 3.5mm jack for headphones think they have the right to tell the OS that they are an audio device and thus must be available in the list of audio outputs.
Now, in Windows, as inferior it is in most ways to macOS, you can easily uninstall those devices. That's not the case in macOS, where there's no obvious or not so obvious way to uninstall them. I read about this or that other hack over the years, but nothing worked.
So while I don't have much hope, I thought I would ask if anyone has found a permanent solution to this. I haven't installed Sequoia yet, but I doubt that it has changed anything when it comes to this.
