Does anyone know how to get ringtones onto the iPhone without using iTunes?
I want to know because everytime I enable ringtone syncing in iTunes, all my music content gets deleted from the iPhone.

Everything was working fine. I had ringtones on the iPhone and I had the ringtone sync disabled in iTunes.
This problem started when I enabled ringtone sync in iTunes in order to add more ringtones to the phone.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Sometimes syncing can be confusing when using iTunes. What may have happened is when you synced the ringtones your were also syncing music at the same time. That will wipe the music from your iPhone.

I recommend using a third party app to place ringtones on your iPhone. I use iMazing 2 which can do much more than just copy ringtones to your phone. It also does backups and much more. I rarely if ever have to use iTunes. The app isn't free but it's well worth the license fee. Also, it has been on sale lately from Macworld magazine so you might want to check there.

+1 for iMazing as the best iTunes alternative so far. Aaand here's the guide for ringtones. Note that ringtones management is fully supported in free version, so enjoy! :)
