I'm not sure what happened, but whenever somebody calls me on my phone it will display their picture in a circle on the top right corner. But now I just received a call from one of my friends and it showed up full screen. Which I hate. I prefer the unobtrusive smaller photo.

Does anyone know how to get it to show up in a small circle rather than a fullscreen?

I've tried adding the picture from my mac's contact address book app, and even try adding it on my contacts app on the phone. It didn't work, the picture still shows as full screen when they call. Sigh.

I'm not sure if this was changed in the latest iOS 12.1 beta or iPhone Xs Max. But I never had this problem when I was using my previous iPhone 6 Plus.

I think if you use a picture taken with the your phone, it will be full screen. If the picture is from another source, you get the smaller circle.

I've tried both, and it still shows up full screen when someone calls. :(

Sigh. Can anyone else with an iPhone Xs running iOS 12 confirm this? Small caller photos are gone, now it's just full screen.
