How to get themes to work

i downloaded some themes last night and they didnt show up am i missing something.... is there something else i have to download to get them to work

No..... if I download winterboard can i uninstall it later.....also i read that upon installing winterboards it could cause your phone to reboot due to bugz in the program........Is It Safe, unlike kate....

Winterboard is the best solution for managing themes. It will reboot the phone once about 2-5 minutes after you install it, but it's only the one time and it's completely harmless.

Winterboard is safe and works well, and you can uninstall it from cydia as easily as you installed it. It can cause the phone to lag a little if you have a lot themes running simultaneously (at least, that's what I've found). All I use are the user wallpaper, transparent dock and Katra's weather theme for the lockscreen.
