In the Bowels of the Cosmos
I've read in some posts the following ways that people have been able to or recommend to get $200 back for their iPhone purchase.

1)Calling Apple Representative they will credit you the $200 difference.
2)Withing 14 days of purchase bringing your iPhone receipt to Apple Store for credit
3)If within 14 days of purchase return to AT&T store for credit
4)Some credit cards offer price protection 30-60 days of purchase date. Check your cardmember agreement.

I make NO claim to the validity of these ideas. I myself will try some though because I'm in the same boat as many of you.

Please if anybody has other ideas or success stories I'll add to the list.

Unfortunatly June 29th was more then 60 days out for me :-/ ... and I have price protection. At least I'll get a $50 on the nano I purchased a while back ...

except if you bought your phone on June 29th, you are beyond the 60 price protection... I guess Apple knew what they were doing when they announced the price drop 68 days later.

I called the Apple store earlier and I was told since I bought my iphone within 14 days i can come in for a refund. And he actually called me back to tell me. Since they just received the updates on how to handle the matter. Took only 5 minutes to receive the call back. And this was a local Apple Retail Store.
