I tried to go back tonight with my Pangu Jailbreak with my iPhone 5 but damn iTunes wanted to download and install iOS 8. I stopped that, but I really need to go back to stock as my device is not stable with Pangu.

BTW. I have my stock DFU recovery on another PC. Any ideas how I can recover without upgrading to iOS 8?

Download the 7.1.2 IPSW file (just Google for links) and when you attempt to restore in iTunes, hold shift when you press restore. You'll be able to select the file you downloaded. Well here's hoping 7.1.2 is still being signed by Apple.

I still have my 7.1.2 ipsw file on my other laptop.

1. Will not the prompt to download iOS 8 prevent me from restoring? Also, assuming I can still restore without upgrading to iOS 8 at this time, would I be able to "restore" from my other PC with an older backup (prior to Jailbreak) or will iTunes once again force me to install ioS 8?

2. If I want to try JB with Pangu again, what would happen if I JB with the stock recovery. Can I use an older pre JB backup to install or will that Unjailbreak?
