Hello,

I constantly get the notification (in the Mac App Store, OS X 10.10.4) that there is an update for an application I have removed a long time ago.
I did contact the software company and they instructed me which files to delete to get permanently rid of their app. I did as they informed me, but, nevertheless, the update notification crops up as if nothing had changed.
I have also tried to hide the purchase in my purchases list — to no avail ...

Is there a way to at least hide the update? Or get rid of it completely?

Any help would be appreciated!

Regards
Jochen

It seems that you cannot hide the update in the Mac App Store of OS X 10.10.4. I cannot find the option by right-clicking the item of updates.

The problem has been resolved! I simply had to do a reboot after having had deleted all the app files! It’s not elegant (not "Apple-like"), but it worked!
