My Yahoo email was hacked so I decided to ditch it and use iCloud email. I created an iCloud email account on my iPad but I am not sure how to import my yahoo email contacts so I can use ithem on my iPad and iPhone running iOS 10.

If someone can explain the process I would appreciate it.

Are there any options to export your contacts from your previous/current email provider (usually would be on their desktop browser web site)?

If it's Yahoo you can definitely do it in the webmail interface. Click the contacts icon, select Actions>Export and choose the vCard Single file option. Email the file to yourself (your iCloud account). Make the iCloud contacts your default Contacts account on your iPad and iPhone. Open the email and the vCard file on either the iPhone or iPad. You should be presented with an option to import the contacts into your iCloud account.
