HELP ME Three great leaps of faith for a 10.4.6 ignoramus-

The Lord help those who help themselves.

Can someone please tell me the best way to transport all the data from Outlook Express 5.0.6 running on G4 9.2.2 to "MAIL" on iMAC Intel Core Duo 2 GHz on 10.4.6 ?

I've got the G5 (& several G (less than 5s on 9.2.2). They can share DSL via Linksys router, but can not see each other. My G5 says "look for G5.local" so I enter that into file sharing on the G4s; but my novice status on OS X is killing me. I don't know where the "mailboxes" are on Outlook Express, and I have only been able to connect via Target Disk mode on the G4. Then I can search the G4 hard drive for "mailboxes", but I've read that the G4 programs should be running, and I don't know how to do that in Target Disk Mode.

PS next trick will be to pull the Internet Explorer's v5.1 on 9.2.2 G4 Favorites; History and filled folders of favorites back to Safari on the iMac.

The trifacta: Screenshots on 9.2.2 were moved and managed as Pictures opened by Simple Text. On the iMac they are .png "aliases" on the desktop, and I've been told that I have to write "scripts" to put them in a folder; not all over the desktop.
Thank you very much,
Mike

From memory, you make folders on your Desktop on the PC with names corresponding to all your email account's folder names (Inbox, Sent, whatever). Then, open each folder in Outlook (or Outlook Express), select all the emails and drag them into the corresponding folder. Once all your emails are stored on the Desktop, get those files onto a Mac using a network, some intermediate media (iPod, external drive or whatever), create new folders in your Entourage or Mail program and drag the emails back from these folders in Finder to your email app. I'm pretty sure that's it. :)
