Hey Folks, I am looking to buy a M4 MBP 14in with Thunderbolt 5
I am planning to keep this laptop for longtime. By looking at the Specifications how can i determine its actually Thunderbolt 5

I am looking for the MX number

I guess you want Apple's order numbers...
The Mactracker app gives this info up very quickly: (2024 14-inch MacBook Pros that support Thunderbolt 5)
MX2E3LL/A (12-core M4 Pro, Silver) MX2H3LL/A (12-core M4 Pro, Space Black)
MX2F3LL/A (14-core M4 Pro, Silver) MX2J3LL/A (14-core M4 Pro, Space Black)
MX2G3LL/A (14-core M4 Max, Silver) MX2K3LL/A (14-core M4 Max, Space Black)

I may be wrong here and welcome correction, but...

Do not the "m4" (non "pro") MacBook Pro's come with only tbolt4?

Don't you have to buy one with the m4pro (not "m4") CPU to get tbolt5 ...?

OP:
Make sure you understand the above distinction...
