Can you set the volume for two HomePods via Shortcuts so that the HomePods are at different volumes?

I know that I can set the volume for ALL of my HomePods together in the Home app. But I want my HomePods at different volumes.

But wouldn’t AppleScript only work if my computer is on? I haven’t used it before but am open to figuring it out

You can adjust the volumes individually in AirPlay controls.

In Shortcuts? I do this every day so was looking for a solution so I don’t have to hunt and peck on my phone every day at the exact same time.

I agree this shouldn't be the hassle that it is. Have you tried creating separate "Scenes" for each individual HomePod? For each HomeKit Scene, choose one HomePod, under "Media" choose "Adjust Volume Only" and set the level. One you have all your scenes created, I think you should be able to add them and stack them inside your shortcut so they execute prior to other audio-related commands. I haven't tried doing this, but I don't see why it wouldn't work.

Can someone tell me once a Scene is playing Apple Music on multiple HomePods how one adjusts the volume of each individually from an iPhone using AirPlay?

I've got a Shortcut that triggers a Scene in which 3 HomePods play the same Apple Music source and I let it run for 10 straight hours on weekends as we're in the backyard. But during the day I need to increase/decrease the volumes on all 3 as one is by the pool, one is on the deck, and one is in the great room and conditions change.

It used to be that on the iPhone I could go into Music > Now Playing and tap the AirPlay icon and see the 3 devices bundled together, tap it, and then get to all 3 volume sliders individually. I can't do that now. Tapping the bundle of the 3 devices just takes me back to the Now Playing screen and one volume slider.

How can I adjust the volume of each HomePod while it's playing Apple Music individually instead of all at once?

I don’t think anything has changed lately in this regard. I would try restarting iPhone and if nothing changes, restart your HomePods. When I have multiple HomePods playing audio, I can still either select the bundle with one slider or tap the disclosure triangle to access the volumes of each HomePod individually.
