Ok this may seem like a bit of a newb question but I have just received my apple developer license a few weeks ago so I can create apps. Anyway how in the hell do you install the beta ios once you have downloaded it from apple? I have looked everywhere and can't find a how to and its driving me nuts.

you need to restore you phone with the new ipsw you just downloaded. Basically you'll need to go into iTunes and hit restore while pressing alt (on a mac) or shift (on a pc) and then select the ipsw you downloaded from apple, don't forget to backup ! ( i'm using iCloud, but personally, I always do a backup on the computer before restoring, so I can restore the data on the phone way quicker ) hope that helps ! Good luck :)

Thxs i figured that part out but when it asks for the restore I don't get to choose where to do the restore from so I can pick the new ios. It just asks are you sure you want to restore to factory settings then it says it will also install the 5.0.1 update. Am i missing something?

It's because of people like this that tarnish the Apple Developer Program. Idiots who just want to use prerelease software.. why not just come out and say that instead of lying about developing your own database and whatever else he made up..

And people who have such simple issues... why not just Google them first? It takes less time then making the actual post!

Excuse me? I made nothing up

If you want to avoid comments like this, you have a better chance on the Apple Developer Forums. People are (for the most part) more professional there.

if you cant help dont respond please I was afraid of getting this kind of response.
