I've seen a lot of questions on this, so I figured I'd make a reference post.
Please click here for instructions on how to install drivers in Vista.

Hi,

Thanks for this information. I assume you are using the RTM version of Vista ?

Can you please explain where you are getting these arc.exe & arc.dll files from ? I've expanded the Bootcamp files and don't have these two files under the System32 directory (though I do have AppleTime & Brightness). I'm using the latest version of Bootcamp (1.1.2).

I really would like to get the right click to work on my trackpad under Vista...

Also, I've noticed on your site it says you are still working on getting Bluetooth working ? Mine just 'worked' immediately on my Macbook without loading any drivers or anything so I'm not sure why yours doesn't work.

The biggest problems I've found are: iSight is in Device Manager but doesn't actually work, and the right click on the Trackpad doesn't work.

Thanks,
Mark :D

Well, great about bluetooth :)
The iSight is something we have not been able to fix, unfortunately. You should be able to use the right apple button as a right click. I'll do some research on other methods if you'd like. And about the ddls, some systems have them, and some don't.

Display drivers won't install on Mac Pros I believe because of Vista's inability to detect something in the motherboard that permits it to use the PCI-Express slots. Display drivers get an Error Code 12 (Not enough resources).

On my Pro, I didn't have any trouble installing the Radeon drivers for the X1900 video card. Are you using the RTM version of Vista, and do you have an X1900 card?

i am on vista beta , with a macbook.

Bluetooth works, ethernet works but i won't recognise the wireless card! windows update doesn't come up with anything for the wireless card.

thanks

lol i am on vista release (via my MSDN subscription) and bluetooth doesn't work for me :( (nor does right click for that matter)

Here are some more instructions in getting drivers to work in Vista.

http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=12185

Instead of apple keyboard use input remapper. You get a lot of other functions like fan speed and brightness control.

I have isight, tracpad, and wireless workng. The bluetooth is random. It works sometimes. I also used instructions from here for the bluetooth. http://blog.netnerds.net/2006/08/macbook-run-windows-2003-server-sp1-on-your-macbook/

Hope these instructions help.
