Hello, I've bought a geforce gtx 780 and I try to install in a mac pro 2010. I removed the old radeon 5770 and put the geforce gtx 780. Nothing appears on the screen. When I open the mac pro, the geforce seems working. However, do I need more power ?
Is there a way or a method to do it properly ?

Many thanks for the help in advance

Hello,
Excuse me if I ask a stupid question, but have you connected a second connector 6 pins or did you just used one of the 5770HD?
the 5770HD just uses a 6-pins, and the GTX 780, a 6-pin and 8-pin connectors. How did you do the extra connection?

At the very least you will need a second Mac-compatible 6-pin power connector (they are not the same as PC cables) for that 8-pin slot but you should be aware that unless modified the 780 is specced for a higher power draw than will be supplied by the Mac Pro.

Yes I have connected only the 6-pin of the 5770HD.

Thanks so much for your reply. DO you have any idea where to order this kind of 6-pin 8-pin cable ? Very difficult to find around Geneva.
